Hayley and Her Hair

Every pop punk fan would picture a red-headed vocalist whenever talking about the multi-awarded Paramore. Who would forget the gorgeous Hayley Williams with her flaring red hair on their music video of Decode and Caught Myself? These became their instant jump to fame, being the original sound tracks of The Twilight Saga. And how about the striking yellow and orange fusion on Misery Business? With their fast fleet to the music industry and their chart-topping hits, Paramore has become really influential especially to the teenagers.

With the many hair color changes Hayley have had, ever wondered what her biological hair is?

In an interview, Hayley humorously answered that she couldn’t even remember. What other colors has she tried, you ask? Well, the truth is, Hayley was born with a blonde hair. But as she aged, her hair darkened and turned into dirty blonde or light brownish tint. So practically, without applying anything on, she had her first hair color change. It really happens to a number of people but kinda rare.

It was at age 13, that she really started dying her hair. She wore her brunette-ish hair on their first major public appearance on the No Doubt Tour. Pressure, Paramore’s first music video featured Williams’ head-banging red head. Their music and the brightness of her hair color made a mark to the public viewers.

On 2005- 2006, her hair was Auburn and she added light colored ends for the second video, Emergency and decided having yellow bangs on Spring 2007.

Hayley added a layer of bright orange bangs on top for their next music video Misery Business and changed it to yellow blonde during the late Summer of that same year.

On Crushcrushcrush, she appeared with short banged red hair with a dyed yellow portion.

You’d say “ginger” if you saw Hayley Williams last Summer 2008, and cherry red when Fall came.

Eccentric it may be, but she did the purple-with-orange-full-bangs, too!

She had two color changes on Summer 2009, the one with the light yellow bangs and the solid orange.

The most decent one so far, which I think you can agree on was the bleach blonde some time on 2009 Fall as the Brick by Boring Brick premiered.

Not too long, she added blue highlights on her bangs.

But still, nothing beats Hayley’s favorite, orange! (and mine too!)

So during the Christmas vacation, she had her favorite color back. However, as Spring drew closer, her hair became faded orange.

Cinnamon red and glazed orange followed.

Obsessed with hair dying, Paramore did their music video for Playing God with her new pink short hair.

Before 2010 was over, she dyed them red-orange.

The band became a bit silent on the year 2011, as the Farro brothers backed out of Paramore. But this didn’t stop them nor the hair dying. Recently, we've seen her newest look from their Monster music video. This time, she also changed her hair texture to fizzy and tinted the roots yellow and red orange downward.

Fans can expect to see more variety of colors in the near future. Perhaps when they release their next album by this year if we are lucky.
