6 Things Your Barber Won't Tell You

Once you enter the salon, you will have to sit down, wait for a vacant seat and browse the ancestral issues of fashion magazines on the shelf. And when your name is called finally, you will be asked to sit at that chair while he pumps it up with his feet and maintain that position for minutes. All you can do is move your eyeballs and look at your barber through the mirrors.

The barber will then ask you what hair style you wish to have. Aside from that there will be no more talking again except if they ask you if the cut is ok. And what you don't know and not supposed to know are the thoughts running in his mind that he will never tell you.

Unwashed Hair Combs
Have you ever seen him wash those hair combs and brushes in the sink? No. And perhaps if you ask them that question, they will probably lie. Don't think that there is nothing wrong with unwashed hair combs because you could catch serious diseases and scalp problems if you are unlucky. You never know if the customer before you have dandruff or more serious conditions. But unfortunately, you can't do anything about it.

He doesn't know what you're talking about
As soon as you start talking loads of stuff to make him picture out your desired hair cut, it is possible that he doesn't know what the hell you are talking about. He may nod, smile and agree like he knows everything, but the truth is, he doesn't watch shows that you watch. Of course, they won't tell you they don't know coz it will disappoint you. What usually happens is they site other people's hairstyle and you were like "Uh-huh" even though you don't actually know what he is talking about. And there he goes, cutting your precious hair.

Grossed Out
There are many things to gross your barber out. It can be the foul smell of your hair because you did not take a bath for thinking that you're gonna do it after the haircut anyway and you consider yourself an environmentalist so you opted to save water. It can also be your visible dandruff flakes or your sticky unwashed hair. But these barbers are in a profession where they can't complain so don't be shy.

Oopsie Daisy!
Barbers are not perfect individuals. They are human being too and prone to error. But in this profession, perfection is very much demanded. But they get tired too. There are times that your barber does not tell you that he made a mistake cutting some part of your hair. Why would he tell you? It will only make you angry and you won't notice it anyway coz it's at the rear part.

Flesh Cut
Sometimes aside from cutting the wrong portion of the hair, they accidentally cut their own finger in the worst cases. You may have not noticed it because you are too busy posing demurely to your reflection. Yes, it is painful but professional barbers are used to it. And there really is no use in crying over spilled milk.

Blooded Blade
For the last final touches, the barber gets his blade and you stop yourself then start to cringe. There is a reason why you are cringing but the truth is if it ever happens, it would be hardly felt. You will know if you are wounded when he carefully wipes something in the shaved part with his index finger. It won't hurt until you wash yourself with soap. I am sure the barber did not do it on purpose but we don't know. Maybe he just wants it to make even because your stiff hair made him cut his finger.
